The quality (size, fit, material, alteration & tailoring, etc.) of the product is very well done and the design of the product (collar, pockets, buttons, length, etc.) seems to be almost 100% matched with the one in the Sherlock TV series. I had not purchased any British clothing since the 1980's when my ex-wife and I had the pleasure to visit London for the first time. When I saw this coat on the Sherlock series, I immediately fell in love with it. It is so much more fashionable than anything I've seen in the U.S. I'm absolutely in love with this coat. This one is truly an exact copy Benedict wears in the series. Never dreamed I could ever buy one, much less afford one, until Decrum came into my view. Very satisfied with my purchase as I've felt like a detective all winter while staying warm the whole time. I was a little nervous while looking around for long coats as I'm 6'-4" and quite scrawny, so I feared I couldn't find a trenchcoat long enough that wasn't also bulky and cumbersome (Benedict Cumbersome, ha ha). But I bought a medium as that was my typical fit and the coat fit very well given its intended utility (to wear over other layers and keep you warm).

In other words it's not a slim-cut fit, and rightly so. I've often worn it over my backpack in rain (more on that later) and can still manage to close it (telling you though, I'm skinny). I hoped it would extend farther down my shins, but that it easily covers my knees and more is plenty sufficient given my height. Plus I realized any longer and it'd be snagging in my bike's mechanisms. Is it waterproof? No, but being made of wool it naturally repels water for a while then contains it - handles drizzles to light rain like a champ. Just take special care drying it if it gets soaked as I've heard you don't want to stretch or shrink the wool. Buttons and pockets galore, it's perfect for all your private-eye needs. ...and your general trenchcoat needs. (Still yet to fight WWI wearing it but will update)

I was skeptical at first! After finally receiving the package after being lost by the post office it was exactly wonderful to see that my son actually likes it, I thought it was a bit too long but it does keep him warm in the 27-degree weather we are having. He usually wears sweaters under all his other coats purchased however not with this one! Yay!!

I bought the "benedict Cumberbatch sherlock coat" (Size: M) and it fits really good. I often wear a suit and this jacket well tops it off. True to size. Love the jacket!
